The learning modes highlight a variety of ways in which learning occurs. Each mode requires students and teachers to be interacting differently with content, resources and each other. While each learning mode operates on its own, they are connected and fluid. Before a student begins an independent task, they may require collaboration with peers to increase understanding or develop ideas, then seek feedback after reflecting on the work they have produced. Deeper understanding and practical application of the learning modes can be explored through registered online professional learning on contemporary learning and teaching.
