In 1997, the Government of Ghana completed the first phase of the National Functional Literacy Programme (NFLP) successfully. The year 2000 marked the launch of the second phase. The programme targets rural communities predominantly in the northern regions of Ghana, aiming explicitly to educate adults with challenging backgrounds who lack basic literacy skills.

In 2016, the non-profit development organization Pragya initiated a 3-year project called the Comprehensive Primary Prevention Programme Addressing Violence against Ethnic Minority Women, with the support of the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. The project addressed the discrimination and violence against ethnic minority women in India.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) in Jordan has set a goal to improve the quality of life by enhancing education, raising the quality of the education system and allowing young people to achieve better academic results, which will, in turn, impact their well-being. Higher quality of education will ensure Jordan’s competitiveness in the global market in terms of its Knowledge Economy.
